Altaf is a Solicitor and Barrister (non-practicing) of England and Wales and an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan with nearly 25 years experience in banking and finance, restructuring, M&A, and cross-border investments across Pakistan and English law. He is recognized in Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.
Altaf began his career at a US law firm in London and completed his pupillage at Gatehouse Chambers. He worked at Linklaters, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Worldpay and as Deputy General Counsel at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank in the UAE.
For the past 10 years, Altaf has been a partner at a leading Pakistan law firm’s Karachi office, before leading the expansion of HWP to set up its London office.
